Experience Haines, Alaska!
Sharing a border with 20 million acres of protected wilderness, Haines is tucked in the forests of southeast Alaska, on the shores of America's longest fjord. Alaska's Glacier Bay National Park is less than 25 miles by air from downtown Haines, and Canada's Kluane National Park and Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park are a short drive away. Haines offers year-round activities: festivals, fishing derbies, motorcycle rallies, foot & bicycle races, and our own "northern" version of Mardi Gras. Bring clothing you can layer plus some light rain gear, comfortable walking shoes, binoculars, and don't forget your camera!
